This insurance company is just rip off I told them to take it from my direct debit got letter off them phoned them up they told me be charged 46 pounds I was shocked all because missed payment it's shocking so I cancelled and now been threatened with cancellation charges

Shocking company, after many years of loyal they send me a renewal for my car insurance with them. The price had more than doubled, no accidents or claims of any sort. Gone from £300 to over £600. Just pure greed & awful lack of business skills. Never again will I use any insurance concerning the coop.

House insurance
Escape of water to a ceiling and wall plus broken toilet tiles they offered £800 to and old lady. She asked for contractors, who then said that they can’t do the work because of damage which is not insured. A total con. Definitely not worth the decades of loyalty.
Don’t risk using the co op, they are not honest like they once were.
Will be contacting the ombudsman

What a total waste of time this company are, already sent me two checks to try and buy me off ,they dont have a clue , non fault accident and I’m fully comp , waited 6 months for repair garage to contact me ,my car was written off ,then they took my car and I had to wait over a week for the pay out and left without transport,also I had to pay an excess £350 ? WHY it was a none fault accident so I’m out of pocket
Please avoid this company, it’s not worth the hassle

My partner has been with co op insurance he paid for the first year in full after that he paid monthly he has been with them 8 years never claimed never had a accident payment was always made after this time they have taken payment for this month they have said we are unavailable to renew Ur insurance unless u pay in full that has gone up not down so he calls them rude people he asked to a manger and got told no wouldn't give them any customers ever again don't waste Ur time or money with these people they are a SHAM go else where don't give them your MONEY

Very disappointed. Was quoted one amount to change to my new car. Come to paying a few days later and had to pay 5 times the amount or face cancellation. I'm not sure if it's because I'm a woman but one minute they can't find the quote. They did then they could when I wanted to make a complaint.

AVOID AT ALL COST.

Avoid this rip off company at all costs, they are no longer owned by cooperative, they have been sold to a company called markerstudy, this company will do anything in order to to pay a genuine claim, they employ rip off loss adjusters that are tasked with not paying your claim, the loss adjusters are in cahoots with markerstudy and the dnd result is that they dug their heel is in and don’t pay, a policy with cooperative is a completed farce and waste of money

Three weeks gone and they are unable to find any garage or body shop to fix my car and no curtesy car given.
VERY VERY BAD SERVICE. Rip Off.
Staff is very rude and do nothing. I phoned them daily and everyday they say you will get phone call from our approved repairer that I never received in 20 days. Its a shame for co op insurance , if you can't provide services that you claim then you should not do business like this.

Been with this insurance company now for 2 years,price was fair,going up 45pound in 2nd year,third year quote going up 250pound to £995,how did they come to that,went to the aa car insurance, half the price,,these companies make it up as they go along,30 years ago police couldn't check if insured or not,get cover notes to produce at police station,.

Cheapest car insurance for me at £100 less than Aviva. However, reading ALL the negative reviews recently I will not be purchasing as this many people can’t be wrong! Never had a claim (other than windscreen) for at least 15 years, but not going to risk a poor outcome if I do! Policies are covered by West Bay Insurance- whoever they are.

I have a 13 year old Renault car, worth £1000 (if I’m lucky), I have 6 years no claims, no accidents in 6 years and I’m 54 years old.
My new insurance (if I was stupid enough to pay) for this year has gone up by £448 !!!!(£627 - £1075).
I have demanded an explanation as to why the increase.
Shopping around I have quotes from well known insurers 50% less than the Co-op.
What is going on?, obviously no customer loyalty, but pure rip off.

I have just spoken with Wendy from the customer service team, clearly hates her job and couldn’t have sounded more fed up or been more unhelpful if she tried. She tried to give me minimal help to get me off the phone and only after telling her I thought she was being rude and unhelpful did she give me an adequate answer which she could have given in the first place? This was a simple question, god knows what you would get if you were actually trying to sort something out on your policy

I have used COOP Insurance many times over the years and found them to be very good. However today I tried an online application for Home Insurance and I was refused cover. I managed to speak to a call centre man who said he was unable to help me. He could not explain why I had been refused cover. Most years I get a quote for Home and Car insurance but I will not be bothering in the future. The COOP have lost a good customer.

I should have read reviews first! I contacted the Co-Op for a home insurance quote as, as a member, I had a letter stating they would ‘guarantee to beat your home insurance renewal quote.’ After wasting a day waiting for a return call, they were, in fact, literally DOUBLE my Saga quote!
The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the person I spoke with was friendly and helpful.

Had another car crash into the back of mine yesterday and called Coop tonight to sort the claim out. I spoke to Kevin on the phone and he was the most helpful person!! He was the most polite and lovely person I’ve ever had to deal with over the phone. He deserves to be noticed for this!! Spoke to him between 22.15 and 22.46 on 17/01/22 so coop if you see this give Kevin some recognition for his amazing help!!
